Based in Los Angeles, we source directly from a single family in the mountains of San Andrés Solaga, Oaxaca, where coffee is a living identity. Founded on the vision of a woman and revived three generations later by another woman, our business breathes new life into a legacy that was nearly forgotten. We honor this heritage by using generational knowledge to hand-harvest and roast every bean without intermediaries. This direct connection ensures fair wages supporting the community and honoring the land.

Our Story

Our story begins far from Los Angeles, in the mountain village of San Andrés Solaga in the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca. This is a place of mist-covered pines, steep forested hills, and a quiet rhythm shaped by the land itself. Here, one family has tended the same coffee trees for generations—growing, harvesting, and preparing their coffee by hand, using methods taught by elders and learned in the fields.

We work directly with this family. No middlemen, no brokers, no buyers in between—just a partnership built on trust, fair pay, and shared pride in the craft. What you drink comes straight from their land to your cup, untouched by anything that would separate the coffee from its story.

The family’s connection to coffee runs deep. Decades ago, when the coffee boom reached Oaxaca, a woman in the family saw the chance to support her home by bringing their harvest to market. Together with her husband, they built a small business rooted in their village’s traditions. Though the business faded with time, the knowledge never disappeared—it lived quietly in the hands of the next generation. Today, another woman in the family has revived that legacy, breathing new life into a nearly lost trade, honoring everything passed down before her.

Our company exists to carry that legacy forward. We don’t chase trends, scale, or shortcuts. We honor seasons. We honor the land. We sell only what each harvest gives—no more. When the coffee is gone, we wait for the earth to offer it again.

The coffee itself reflects the place and people who care for it: clean, honest, grown with patience, cultural pride, and respect. It isn’t written in manuals or guided by machines. It’s carried in memory, in tradition, and in the hands that know the soil by heart.
